Aero Industries, Inc., a global leader in the manufacturing of tarp systems and trailer accessories, is committed to supporting the men and women who have served our country. Aero raised $10,600 for Folds of Honor, an organization that provides “annual educational scholarships to the military families of those who have been killed or disabled while on active duty,” according to their mission statement. Aero’s donation will aid in the effort to support the nine out of ten veterans that do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance, according to the Folds of Honor Web site.

Recently, Aero has developed a relationship with the local chapter of Folds of Honor. Every year, the Indianapolis Chapter holds a Gala to raise funds as well as present scholarships to their recipients. At the third annual event on August 21, Aero’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jeff Boyd, presented the donation. Aero’s $10,600 donation will provide scholarships for two, local applicants. The recipients received their scholarships at the Gala.

Aero Industries looks forward to strengthening their relationship with Folds of Honor, both on a national and local level. Folds of Honor is an organization founded by Air Force Major and Pro Golfer, Dan Rooney. Rooney founded the organization in 2007 after witnessing a late soldier’s family, including a young son, await the casket’s arrival at the airport.

Thinking of his own wife and daughter, he vowed to take care of the family and finance the son’s education, raising money through golf tournaments. Since then, Rooney has expanded his team and provided countless scholarships and educational opportunities for families with soldiers that have been killed or injured while on active duty. AERO INDUSTRIES SPONSORS AMERICAN FALLEN WARRIOR MEMORIAL FOUNDATION NATIONAL TOUR

INDIANAPOLIS – September 20, 2013 – Aero Industries, Inc. one of the nation’s leading providers of innovative accessories for the transportation industry is a sponsor of the American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation’s (AFWMF) national fundraising tour – GoldStar11.
Aero Industries donated a Side Kit and bulkhead to transform a flatbed trailer i nto a covered trailer to help protect the freight from the elements while transporting two artifacts from the World Trade Center to Kansas City, Kan. – the site of the AFWMF memorial project.

The AFWMF memorial is to honor those fallen service men and women lost in conflicts since the Gulf War, including PTSD/combat -‐ related causalities.  The memorial will feature military seals, Gold Stars, photo plaques, flags and statues. There will also be an educational component included to showcase recent military conflicts and sacrifices made to protect the country’s freedoms.

The  GoldStar11 tour stopped in Indianapolis at the Indiana War Memorial
on Thursday, Sept. 5. The tour began on Saturday, August 31, at Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers, Fla., and wound its way through 14 cities and 13 states before it will finish up on Monday, September 23, at the Fort Douglas Military Museum in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The tour’s name is a reference to Gold Star Families who have lost members in American military conflicts. Gold Star Mothers are those American women who have lost a son or daughter in service to the United States, and refer to service flags hung in windows of families since World War I. On the last Sunday in September, Gold Star Mother’s Day is observed in the U.S. in their honor.

The GoldStar11 memorial, designed by architect Norman Schwartz, is set to be the largest memorial in U.S. history. The project is expected to be complete by September 11, 2015. To view the full itinerary and map, visit the GoldStar11 website. Donations can be made online by clicking on the gold “Donate Now” star on the homepage.

User Letter
OFFICIAL SAFETY NOTICE TO USERS
OF EASY COVER TARP SYSTEMS
February, 2014

Dump truck body or trailer tarp systems that utilize metal arms rotating under spring tension (like the Easy Cover) are common in the industry and have been around for many years.

A lot of energy is stored in the spring tension systems and is dangerous if unintentionally or improperly released. In the past few years, such incidents have resulted in injury and even death. While Aero understands that the most serious incidents have taken place when the units were damaged and improperly repaired, Aero is undertaking a safety initiative in hopes of preventing any future injuries.

Therefore, PLEASE BE ADVISED that potential hazards exist in the use and/or repair of the Aero Easy Cover tarp system. This notice is being sent to known users of Easy Cover tarp systems to provide education on safety labeling and operation instructions in order to avoid any harm from those hazards. TO HELP PREVENT INJURIES OR DEATH, PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE AND THE ENCLOSED LABEL IN FULL AND COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

This Aero safety initiative includes the issuance of new safety labels for all of its Easy Cover systems and replacement arms, as well as new or improved instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of these systems. The safety labels are deemed a new part of the system and provide information on common hazards, how to use and repair the Easy Cover systems, and how to replace key components. A copy of the new safety label is attached to this notice, and new labels should be ordered (free of charge) per the below instructions for each Easy Cover tarp system that you own. All of the new and updated manuals are also available to access and print from Aero’s website, or can be ordered free of charge as noted below.

Please keep all users of your Easy Cover product safe by following these INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Please discontinue use of your Easy Cover if any parts of it are broken or damaged. Call Aero at 800-535-9545 for assistance in repairing or replacing those parts before further use of the Easy Cover system.
